« Rumor: Star Fox Wii Headed to E3?

Truth be told, "rumor" may be a tad inaccurate; "speculation" is more akin to what this is, based on things that have been said.

VideoGamesBlogger considers the following: In 2006, Shigeru Miyamoto had stated in a Famitsu interview that "The Wii controller could be easily used to control the airwing in Star Fox."

After which came a comment from Star Fox Command Producer Takaya Imamura, when asked of such a project: "I wonder how the adventure of Fox and friends is going to go next time?! I have come up with some idea in my mind, but it is still just a small one. I will try my best so that I can deliver it to you some time!"

And most recently came the news that Nintendo would be announcing several new titles that would appeal to the "core" gamers around E3. Ergo, the conclusion drawn by VGB is that we'll hear about a new Star Fox from Nintendo at E3.

In addition, they add that Miyamoto's comments about past Star Fox titles, "consumers got very excited about the idea of those games, but the games themselves did not deliver," leads to a belief that Nintendo may handle the next one in-house.

It won't be long before we find out for ourselves. »
